Virtual Intensive Workshop

Your Work Capacity is Your Capital. Protect it.

Regain Work Capacity from Burnout, Grief, or Trauma.

If you are navigating burnout, grief, trauma, or other difficult life experiences that are affecting your work, this intensive is for you.

For many, stress from the fear that work is being affected will continue to increase pressure and the energy required to manage work, life, and relationships. Prioritizing getting the help you need will reduce some of the pressure you feel and free up the energy you need to heal and work.

What does the virtual intensive workshop look like?

This is a fast-paced, one-hour intensive workshop.

1. Learn about sensory tools to ground yourself and increase your tolerance.

2. How to regain your work capacity using our proprietary SCRIBE model.

3. Participate in a brief mindfulness session with a Board-certified and trauma-informed music therapist, Cela Patras from Melody Turned Therapy.

The intensive is designed with neuroscience, leadership, and organizational research to help you protect your career, your work, and regain your work capacity while you are navigating the effects of grief, trauma, or critical stress.

Burnout

This is severe emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion from prolonged or severe personal or professional stress.

You may have body pain, trouble sleeping, and racing heartbeats.

At work, you may make errors, feel irritable, and be unable to make decisions.

Grief

Depending on the nature of your relationship and the manner of loss, this is the sadness, vacuum, pain, anger, or shutdown you feel at losing someone you loved naturally or unexpectedly, or someone close who hurt you.

You will experience emotional, cognitive, and physical reactions such as fatigue and withdrawal or pain, confusion, and lack of trust, or PTSD.

Trauma

This is a deep and long-lasting emotional, physical, and biological response to violence, abuse, accidents, disasters, or war that overwhelms your ability to cope.

You may have body pain, nightmares, flashbacks, dissociation, racing heartbeats, and more.

At work, you may go through a shutdown, get angry, and be unable to make decisions.

Specialized executive coach in regaining work capacity when experiencing grief, trauma, burnout, and other critical stress, grounded in 30+ years of international leadership experience.

I am a trauma-informed executive coach for managing and regaining work capacity. I work with leaders going through grief, trauma, burnout, or critical stress that affects their productivity, functioning, or leadership. I help leaders identify how they can quickly ground themselves and think clearly again, using our SCRIBE framework.

If you are going through grief, trauma, burnout, or other critical stress, I create a safe space where you can process your work demands to function and lead as you want to. You will become more of who you are in your work and leadership through the crisis, rather than losing your sense of self.

Why does burnout, grief, or trauma affect my work capacity?

Trauma or other adverse events, unfortunately, get embedded in the body. This embedding shifts the brain and nervous system into a threat-focused state (or, with grief, scanning for the loved one), reducing cognitive functions such as attention, memory, and decision-making required for work.

Why do people experiencing burnout, etc., get misunderstood at work?

When your emotions, thoughts, and body show symptoms of trauma, you and others around you may misunderstand it as a performance issue, personality clash, or poor health habits. The reality is your body’s internal alarm system is getting switched on by an outdated experience, and your nervous system is trying to keep you safe.

How will the intensive help me to have the capacity to work?

The intensive gives you the essential tools you need to think when your thinking shuts down at work. It will help you to know your physical and psychological needs to function well at work and engage easily with others.

Can I learn everything I need to know in 60 minutes?

The intensive will give you a jump start to regain work capacity. We will also give you free access to our micro modules for 30 days, for resources focused on regaining work capacity. It is not possible to be "back to normal" in 60 minutes after extremely painful life experiences. Our goal is to help you protect your work as you pursue your healing.

Three examples where the intensive will help you regain work capacity.

Time Off Maxed Out
Feeling "heavy" and having to "drag" yourself to work

How it affects your work: You may notice you are now taking more sick time because you feel tired or wiped out.

How it affects your career: Your boss might feel frustrated with you and think you are unreliable.

What you will gain at the intensive: Reframe using our SCRIBE model to understand what you need and want to thrive at work.

Scan, Scram, or Sweaty Palm
Energy is diverted to continously looking out for threats

How it affects your work: Thinking and planning may feel draining. Your hands may start to shake or sweat before meetings.

How it affects your career: You may have been high-achieving. But now, you get a rap during performance reviews.

What you will gain at the intensive: Gain tools that will help you to ground yourself and use the SCRIBE model to think, plan, and meet deadlines.

Perceived Attack and Counter Attack
Before you could trust the right people - now you trust no one

How it affects your work: If you are a manager, normal disagreements might seem like an intentional attack on you - and you may become reactive.

How it affects your career: Your team might feel they cannot come to you with their problems or disagreements. Your boss may see a disintegrating team.

What you will gain at the intensive: How to reorient to factual truth with the SCRIBE model and focus on outcomes.
