Your Capacity is Your Capital. Protect it.
Trauma, grief, burnout, or critical stress do not have to affect your work.
Are you trying to stop the aftereffects of trauma, grief, or critical stress from affecting your work?
Here are three ways our virtual intensive will help you to regain work and leadership capacity.
Executive Decision Fatigue and Fog
Unable to easily hold a long-term strategy in mind
How it affects your work: You may find yourself stuck in "Analysis Paralysis," struggling to make executive decisions or blanking out at crucial meetings.
The Organizational Impact: Your team may feel confused and lose momentum across the department or organization.
What you will gain at the intensive: Use sensory tools to ground and scan across functions, reframe with the SCRIBE model to think and make decisions.
The Relational Glass Wall
Emotional numbness or detachment that shields stress
How it affects your work: You may come across as cold, avoid "messy" human conversations, or feel empathy as you used to.
The Organizational Impact: The "Relational Wall" might become a barrier that isolates you from the company's pulse, and high performers may leave.
What you will gain at the intensive: With the SCRIBE model, identify and accept the possible outcomes and increase tolerance of ambiguity to re-engage as before.
Hyperalert Command and Control
Becoming hyper-focused on risks, including minor risks.
How it affects your work: You may find yourself unable to delegate as you did before, and want more data or information before you trust your team.
How it Impacts the Organization: Your team might feel stifled and anxious, and stop taking initiatives, which increases your own exhaustion.
What you will gain at the intensive: Reorient to factual truth, delegate as before, and focus on outcomes. "You are late" versus "You don't respect me."
Privacy and Anonymity
Your privacy, confidentiality, and anonymity are important and many times critical to ensure your bottom line does not get affected while you are overcoming trauma, grief, or critical stress. You can join the intensive with a pseudonym, with cameras turned off.
1. If you use a pseudonym, throughout the intensive, as needed, only your pseudonym will be used.
2. Your personal information will not be stored anywhere other than billing.
3. To ensure confidentiality and privacy, we do not use any client "testimony" or quotes anywhere to promote or market our work.

What does the virtual intensive workshop look like?
This is a fast-paced, virtual intensive workshop with two key goals.
1. Identifying sensory elements you can use to ground immediately when you sense the fight, flight, freeze, or collapse arising at work.
2. Functional executive thinking and decision-making capacity using our proprietary SCRIBE model to manage and regain work capacity.
To stay focused yet relaxed during the intensive, we will have a mindfulness session that will give you the framework for practicing it anytime you need to.
Bring to the intensive workshop: a hot drink (coffee, tea, or hot water), an icy-cold drink (water, lemonade, or your favorite), a fidget toy if you have one, a silk scarf, and a washcloth. Pad or loose sheets of paper and multi-colored pens. If you don't have a Breathwork app, download an app. I recommend Breathwrk. Here is also a video you can use: Assisted Breathing Exercise.
The best place to attend the intensive workshop is at your desk. Do keep all the items to bring to the desk. See you at the intensive!

Trauma, grief, or critical stress don't stay at home. It comes with you to work.
Trauma or other adverse events, unfortunately, get embedded in the body. When your emotions, thoughts, and body show symptoms of trauma, you and others around you may misunderstand it as a performance issue, personality clash, or poor health habits. The reality is your body’s internal alarm system is getting switched on by an outdated experience, and your nervous system is trying to keep you safe.
